Company Resources: The Company License provides that your Library and Support Credits are a pool shared by all registered staff that you license.

 

Individual Technician - Staff Licenses Not Required

The Company License mode is designed specifically for the needs of a Company with one or more technicians. The initial purchase of a Kit or Subscription provides the License Owner with the option to delegate who has the use of the Technical Roles and resources available. You won't need any Staff License in this situation if you only have one person on staff doing project work.

What if you have more than one technician on staff you want to license? That's what the Staff License addresses. You can extend the resources of your existing account, library and resource credits to more than one staff member. Each Staff License provides an additional unique logon account

Multiple Technician Accounts with Staff Licenses

A Staff License is a very cost

This is an effective way to establish more than one technician at your company with the option to work independently, access the website independently, use the resources and materials just like the access your subscription based license provides. In fact, other than the substantially lower cost of a Staff License ($120 USD/yr.), your additional technical staff have the exact same resources and benefits delivered. You save not only the initial $200 cost of an additional Kit Owner License, the Staff License renews annually.

Staff License Renewal Controlled by the License Owner Account

Staff Licenses are ordered separately from a subscription, but run concurrently and must be renewed annually as long as the subscription is active. It provides the equivalent of "1 additional license to use" for each Staff License you order, and each comes with an additional logon account and resources to use by the person registered. Like the Technical Role on an subscription account, you can reassign the use of a Staff License. The are essentially the same thing at that point.

Expired Account Considerations

Keep in mind is that if you allow your subscription to expire, your Staff Licenses are disabled, but the registration remains on record allowing the person you registered to use the license materials as long as they work for your company. Without an active License Owner account, you no longer have access to reassign any of the Staff Licenses or Technical Role registration, nor do you have access to obtain updates from the website.
