What does SBS MVP mean?
Microsoft has established a program to recognize technology professionals and contributors worldwide who invest in helping a community to get the best experiences in using and supporting Microsoft products. The Most Valuable Professional program recognizes a relatively select number of people every year, from around the world, and provides the MVP Award as a thank you for being an exceptional contributor to the local and worldwide community of Microsoft consumers and professionals.
You can learn more about the Microsoft MVP Program at the Microsoft website - http://mvp.support.microsoft.com.
Who are the SBS MVPs?
From the Microsoft website, you can get a list of the great people who Microsoft is currently recognizing with the MVP Award, specifically associated with the Small Business Server product.
Perhaps, more importantly to me, Jeff Middleton, the SBS MVPs are some of the best friends I have around the world, and some of the most generous people you will ever come in contact with. They remain a tremendous source of enthusiasm, inspiration and technical support to me. I hope you will have a chance to meet some of them in person sometime. I know I speak for them when I say how much we have all enjoyed meeting in person with each other, and the members of the worldwide community we know online.
It's a thrill to me to travel to places where I can meet more of the SBS community in person, and that is something all the SBS MVPs share as a common sentiment. The world seems to be a much smaller and simpler place when you come to know someone as a professional on the web you never would have dreamed to meet in person, until you do. More often than not, we find that we share a lot more in common about our lives than we expect, and there's a lot of value in letting that help guide your actions every day.
